The Center for Democracy and Development (CDD) is dedicated to advancing democracy, rule of law, and economic and social development in post-communist, transitional, and developing areas abroad. Working with local partners, CDD focuses on
- strengthening local government and civil society
- promoting viable, independent media
- helping judiciaries become more effective and more transparent
- assisting in conflict reduction
- promoting greater educational and economic opportunities.
