Celebrate our Anniversaries!

On Thursday, October 22, 2009, the Center for Women in Politics & Public Policy celebrates the 15th anniversary of its founding in 1994. It was also 40 years ago this year that the first women graduated from the Program for Women in Politics & Government (now Public Policy).

Please join us as we honor Program Founder Betty Taymor for her vision 40 years ago and her decades of work that have shaped the history of women in Massachusetts politics. The Betty Taymor Scholarship Fund established in her name has made it possible for over 100 women to gain graduate training for leadership in politics, government, and public policy.

Just as Betty represents the best of our history, on October 22nd Barbara Lee, the preeminent Philanthropist Activist in Massachusetts, will receive the Visionary Leadership for the Future of Women in Politics Award for all she has done and will continue to do in the future to promote women's leadership in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and around the country.
