O'Malley Travels to Kirkuk with the Condolences of FCT Members
Professor Padraig O'Malley was in Kirkuk Iraq the week of 15 July 2009 (visiting Taza near Kirkuk City and the Shourja neighborhood of Kirkuk ) to pay respects to the families who have suffered from recent bombings there. Kirkuk is one of four cities to attend the recent Forum for Cities in Transition from conflict (FCT) conference at UMass Boston. Participants from Nicosia, Mitrovica, Derry/Londonerry, and Boston sent their condolences with O'Malley to their new friends in Kirkuk.
